Our methodology

Every VPN we recommend is tested on five criteria: speed (repeated bandwidth measurements with and without VPN), security (protocols, audits, DNS/IPv6 leaks), streaming (Netflix, Disney+, Prime, BBC iPlayer), price (real cost over the commitment period) and ease of use (installation, interface, support).

Our independence

AvisVPN is funded by affiliate partnerships. When you subscribe through our links, the VPN provider pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. This model keeps the site free. It never influences our rankings: we also recommend services like Mullvad or Proton VPN where commissions are low or zero, whenever they earn their spot.
